Team member Michael O’Brien is a self-confessed ‘petrol-head’ and when a friend asked him if he’d like to get involved with a ‘Skyline and GTR day’ to support a car-loving 12-year-old boy with a life-limiting condition, he jumped at the chance.

The event organised for Taylor-Made Dreams – a Crowborough-based charity which enables children across the South East with life-limiting illnesses to achieve their dreams – saw the stunning vehicles gather at the Smith & Western restaurant at Boxhill in Surrey, where Ollie was able to get up close to the cars.

With the help of Supervettura Sales in Berkshire, earlier in the week, Ollie had fulfilled the dream of sitting in one of only two Koenigsegg Agera RS cars in the UK – worth more than £4 million – while he has also visited Disneyland Paris.

Taylor-Made Dreams was launched eight years ago by Suzi Mitchell, in memory of her son Taylor. He fell ill in 2008 aged 11 with an incurable illness, which he fought for four years. During this time, Taylor and his mother watched the film ‘The Bucket List’ and Suzi suggested that her son write a list of people he wanted to meet and places he wanted to go.

Many exciting adventures were had in the last two years of Taylor’s life, including a dream holiday in a tree house at Center Parcs, swimming with dolphins and meeting David Beckham.

Taylor passed away on 2 September 2011 and it was while fulfilling his list that Suzi decided she would one day set up a charity to do the same for other children facing life-limiting illnesses.

“I was really happy to take part in this event for Taylor-Made Dreams,” said Michael. “It’s such a great cause and speaking to Ollie’s family made me appreciate how important charities like these are. Ollie’s Dad was really blown away by the huge effort Suzi and everyone along the way put in to make such a special few days; there are some really nice people in the world.”

Added Suzi Mitchell: “Thank you to Michael for coming along to show Ollie his amazing car; he made a magical difference.”
