Congratulations to team member Ashwin Grewal, who has passed the Personal Taxation paper of his ATT qualification. It covers the practice and application of certain tax rules with regard to how individuals are taxed.
The Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) is the leading professional body for those providing UK tax compliance services. It has more than 9,000 members and Fellows, together with over 5,000 students
“As my role is largely based around preparing tax returns, this exam has given me a broader understanding of the tax rules and, therefore, has increased my capacity in terms of the difficulty of tax returns that managers can now allocate for me to prepare,” says Ashwin.
Ashwin joined Charter Tax in September 2018 and, as a junior, his role largely consists of tax compliance, including the preparation of tax returns. He also has other roles, such as supporting the payroll department.
The ATT qualification requires Ashwin to pass two more written papers and three computer-based exams, before he can become an ATT member. He is currently booking his next exam for November.
In the meantime, Ashwin is enjoying his role at Charter Tax.
“Everyone has been very supportive to me since I started here, right from the directors to my fellow juniors,” he says.
