Melissa Dunkley is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation with over thirty years of experience in tax and social security matters for expatriates. She started her career with EY in London as a graduate trainee, where she qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1996. Later she joined KPMG in Birmingham, becoming a senior tax manager and heading up the International Expatriate Service team for the Midlands.
Melissa established her own expatriate tax advisory business, MD Advisory Ltd, in 2006 to help clients navigate the complexities of cross-border employment and working. MD Advisory Ltd merged with Charter Tax in May 2024.
Melissa was secretary of the East Midlands branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation for 7 years and is now a founder member of the personal tax special interest group of the European branch committee. She is also a member of the International Fiscal Association.
Melissa adopts retired greyhounds and likes to mess about on horses whenever possible.
