Associate Director
Tom Barker is a member of STEP, fellow of the Association of Taxation Technicians and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Tom joined Charter Tax in July 2015.
Tom uses his experience of working with international clients, including US citizens and a logical approach to situations and interpreting the legislation to provide clients with detailed but accessible advice on matters relating to income tax, capital gains tax, stamp duty land tax and inheritance tax. He also helps taxpayers who have fallen foul of the complex tax rules by working with them to make appropriate disclosures to HMRC, and engages with HMRC to conclude investigations and enquiries.
Outside work Tom enjoys spending time with his family, reading classic novels and playing the piano.
